Frequently asked

How do I start a round?

From the home screen, tap Start Round. Pick a course and tee, add your group (search by name or scan their QR code), then choose your side games — Nassau, Skins, Wolf, and so on. Every player gets the same live scorecard once you tap Begin.

How do I join a round someone else started?

Tap Join Round on the home screen and enter the 6-character round code from the host, or scan their QR. You can also tap a join link the host shared by text or chat — it deep-links straight into the round.

Does Fairway Ledger handle the money?

No. Fairway Ledger tracks stakes, dues, and settlements as numbers so you know who owes who, but no money moves through the app. Settle up between yourselves — Venmo, Interac e-Transfer, cash, beer at the 19th, whatever your group prefers.

Why do I need to sign in for stakes / dues?

Anonymous accounts work fine for scoring and casual rounds. The moment a round has real money in play, we require a verified account (Apple, Google, or email) so disputes are tied to a real identity. Sign-in is one tap and never spammed.

How is the handicap calculated?

We use a WHS-style index computed from your tracked rounds. Every finalized round writes a handicap-history entry; the index updates from your best differentials after enough rounds accumulate. Fully transparent — you can see every entry in your Profile.

Something's wrong with my round / scores / settlement.

If the round isn't finalized yet, the host can edit scores directly from the Score Entry screen. Once a round is finalized it's immutable by design (the money math has to be trustworthy). If something needs to be corrected after that, email support@blindlogic.ca with the round code and we'll help.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, rounds, and all linked data. Action is irreversible — back up anything you want to keep first.
